For recreational boaters who are looking to master their skills aboard multi-engine powerboats larger than 26 feet, this course is the perfect solution! Starting with just four hours of on-the-water training, you can become the confident boater that you have always wanted to be. We will teach you everything you need to know to be safe and successful on the water.
What You Will Learn
Our Multi-Engine Powerboat Course will teach you everything you need to learn to safely and confidently operate powerboats 26 feet and larger. Our hands-on training program includes:
- Docking and Anchoring Practice
- Use of Joystic and Thruster Systems (if installed)
- Understanding Weather and Tides
- Use of GPS and VHF Radio
- Use of Autopilot and Radar (if installed)
- Following the Rules of the Road while underway
- Understanding the Aids To Navigation System
- Vessel Systems and Safety Equipment

Your Pathway to Confident Boating
Like any sport, becoming a skilled boater takes time and practice. It also takes the right educational path. Here is a suggested training plan to help you get started:
Step One: The Florida Boating Safety Course
- Learn about state and federal boating laws and safety requirements
- Learn the Rules of the Road
- Learn the Aids to Navigation System
- This course (or approved equivalent) is a required prerequisite for all of our on-the-water training programs
Step Two: Local Navigation Course
- Our Local Navigation Course will teach you how to safely navigate the waters of Naples and Marco Island.
Step Three: Coastal Navigation Course
- Our Coastal Navigation Course will teach you how to navigate longer distances, factoring in marine weather, tides, currents, and how to use AI for voyage planning.
Step Three: Twin Engine Powerboat Course
- The best way to learn boating is to put your hands on the wheel!
Step Five: Night Powerboat Course
- Build the skills and confidence you need when boating after the sun goes down.
Course Details
Course Fees:
The price of the course is $600 if being conducted aboard your privately owned boat. At this time, we do not offer a multi-engine boat for any of our onwater training programs.
Course Length:
The Twin Engine Powerboat Course provides four hours of hands-on training aboard the boat.
Number of Trainees:
All of our on-the-water courses are private one-on-one sessions. But we do allow up to two trainees per session. There is no additional fee for the second trainee.
Course Schedule:
All of our on-the-water courses are offered Monday through Saturday, year-round.
