Thank you for choosing the Naples School of Boating, we look forward to helping you to become a safer and more confident boater! Before reaching out to us, here are the answers to the most commonly asked questions:

What are your course fees? Our prices are listed on each course description page and can also be found on our FAQ’s and Fees Page. Payment is due on the date of your scheduled appointment. We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard. If paying with credit or debit, a fee of 3.5% will be added to your invoice. 

What types of boats do you provide training on? We offer our Powerboat Mastery Course on powerboats up to 65 feet. We do NOT provide training on sailboats, small jetboats or personal watercraft.

How many trainees are allowed on the boat? Two trainees are allowed on the boat per session. There is no additional fee for the second trainee, as we encourage you to learn with the person most likely to spend time boating with you. Additional trainees or guests must be approved in advance of the appointment. 

When do you offer classes? We don’t offer group classes, all of our training is conducted as a private lesson aboard your boat, or one that we provide for the training. We offer training appointments Monday through Saturday, 9am - 12pm with the exception of some holidays. Other appointment times may be available by special request.

Are there any prerequisite training requirements? Yes, we require all trainees to complete an Approved Florida Boating Safety Course, either online or in a classroom. We recommend the free online course from BoatUS Foundation, but you may choose any approved course provider. 

If I have a Safe Boating Certificate from another state, will that satisfy the prerequisite training requirement? We will accept any NASBLA approved course certificate from any state, unless you are required by Florida law to have a Florida Certificate. If you were born on or after January 1st, 1988 you are required to have a Florida certificate. You can learn more about this on our boating safety course page.
