DESTINATION TRAINING
The best way to learn and build new skills is to practice them in the real world. With the Advanced On-Water Training Program, you have the option to complete your training by traveling to local destinations with half-day or full-day trips. You can choose any Southwest Florida destination, but our most popular locations include:
- Everglades City – Experience “Old Florida” with a trip to the Rod & Gun Club
- Okeechobee Waterway – Navigate through the Intracoastal Waterway to the Franklin Lock, the westernmost lock leading to Lake Okeechobee
- Intracoastal Waterway – Travel from the southern tip of Sanibel to points north including Cabbage Key, Captiva and Boca Grande
- Customized Itinerary – Choose your own destinations and we can plan and navigate them together to build your skills and confidence

Insurance Compliance
Many insurance companies require their insureds to complete a minimum level of on-the-water training with a Licensed Captain. Our On-Water Training Programs will meet or exceed the requirements of your insurance company as they adhere to NOWS, the National On-Water Standards for recreational boaters. We will provide you and your insurance company with a certification letter and any other required documentation.
