New York Boating Safety Course

The New York Safe Boating Course is mandatory and must be completed before scheduling any of our other courses. We do not offer this course, but the link below will direct you to all of the NASBLA and State of New York approved courses. It provides foundational knowledge on boating safety topics including rules of the road, the ATON or Aids To Navigation system, state and federal requirements, and safe vessel operation.

Basic On-The-Water Power Boat Training Course

Our On-The-Water Power Boat Training Course is for boat owners, and will teach you everything you need to know to safely operate a single or multi-engine boat. You will learn:

• Docking and maneuvering in close quarters
• Anchoring the vessel
• Reading nautical charts
• Navigating with GPS
• Understanding tides and weather
• Following the channel markers or ATON’s

Duration: Half-Day (4-Hours)

Price: $600 plus travel fee depending on your location.

Availability: Seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Advanced On-The-Water Power Boat Training Course

Our Advanced On-The-Water Power Boat Training Course is for boat and yacht owners, and includes everything in our basic on-water training course, PLUS:

• Docking with joystick and multiple engines
• Voyage planning
• Radar and autopilot navigation
• Destination training
• Extended amounts of training time
• Insurance certifications

Duration: Full-Day (6-Hours)

Price: $900 plus travel fee depending on your location.

Availability: Seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
